Uploading
- Click Send Tax Returns.
- Click the CCH button.
- Drag the client copy to Drag files here or click to upload.
- Select up to 20 individual returns to upload at once.
- View the Upload Progress bar, it turns green when the upload is complete.
- Verify or edit the Client ID.
- Enter a Group Name for the return to assign it to a new or existing Group (optional).
- Click Everyone to edit access permissions as needed.
- Click Submit.
- Click Send Tax Returns.
- Click the UT button.
- Drag the client copy to Drag files here or click to upload.
- Select up to 20 individual returns to upload at once.
- View the Upload Progress bar, it turns green when the upload is complete.
- Verify or edit the Client ID.
- Enter a Group Name for the return to assign it to a new or existing Group (optional).
- Click Everyone to edit access permissions as needed.
- Click Submit.
- Click Send Tax Returns.
- Click the GS button.
- Drag the client copy to Drag files here or click to upload.
- Select up to 20 individual returns to upload at once.
- View the Upload Progress bar, it turns green when the upload is complete.
- Verify or edit the Client ID.
- Enter a Group Name for the return to assign it to a new or existing Group (optional).
- Click Everyone to edit access permissions as needed.
- Click Submit.
- Click Send Tax Returns.
- Click the LT button.
- Drag the client copy to Drag files here or click to upload.
- Select up to 20 individual returns to upload at once.
- View the Upload Progress bar, it turns green when the upload is complete.
- Verify or edit the Client ID.
- Enter a Group Name for the return to assign it to a new or existing Group (optional).
- Click Everyone to edit access permissions as needed.
- Click Submit.
Initial Processing
- If enabled in the user's My Settings menu, a notification is delivered to the uploader letting them know if the upload was successful or not.
- The Send Tax Returns section is displayed once you click Submit.
- If the Status column shows UPLOADED, the assembly process is not yet complete.
- The Status changes to READY after assembly is completed.
- Ensure that the Name, Client ID, and Type columns have information in them.
- If they do not, the return may not be valid.
- Reference the Error or Non-Supported Status help center article for further information.
- If they do not, the return may not be valid.
Please note:
The ERO automatically populates based on the PTIN on the return, a matching ID in Client Management, or the user's My Settings default in that order. If none of these apply, an ERO must be selected during processing.
- Locate the return to be opened.
- Click the purple rocket ship icon in the Action menu to open the return OR
- Double-click the line item.
