K-1 Email Notification Instructions

When K-1 Shareholder / Partner information is updated by the firm or client, each has the option to notify the other of any changes and / or additions.

Note:  Shareholders will not be notified of changes to these details

Firm Updates (Notification sent to Client)

1.  Select Client View for the specific return.  Once in the return, select Distribute K-1s and Send Electronically

2. A list of K-1 recipients will display.  Select the edit details button as shown below:

3. A new window will appear where information can be updated and added.  Located at the bottom of the window is an option to notify the client of any changes made.  Once complete, click save or cancel to return to the K-1 recipient screen. Note:  Check box is selected as the default

Client Updates (Notifications sent to Firm)

1. In the tax return, select Distribute K-1s, then Send Electronically:

2. A list of K-1 recipients will display.  Select the edit details button as shown below:

3. A new window will appear where information can be updated and added.  Located at the bottom of the window is an option to notify the firm of any changes made.  Once complete, click save or cancel to return to the K-1 recipient screen.  Note:  Check box is selected as the default
