In-Office E-Sign

The In-Office E-sign feature allows the client to e-sign in person. They can e-sign in your office using a PC or tablet.

Permissions

System Adminis have access to In-Office E-sign by default. Other users need to be granted permission in order to access this feature. 

Please note:

Only System Admins have access to the Account Management and User Management sections.

Create a Custom User Group

  1. Click the Navigation Widget in the top right corner.
  2. Select Account Management
    • A new tab opens.Account Management.png
  3. Select User Management.
  4. Click the User Groups tab. 
  5. Click Add User Group.
  6. Add the Name of the group. 
  7. Add Description.
    • This can be a general description of what roles this group has.
    • There is a character limit of 100 for this field.
  8. Select the Roles to be applied to the group.
    • Apply only In-Office E-Sign OR
    • Create a custom group with additional permissions. 
  9. Select Add Group.

Add Users to the Group

  1. Click the Navigation Widget in the top right corner.
  2. Select Account Management
    • A new tab opens.Account Management.png
  3. Click User Management
  4. Click Edit in the Actions menu of the user to be updated. 
  5. Click the In-Office E-Sign checkbox in the User Group section. 
  6. Click Update to save any changes made.Add user group.png
Sign using In-Office E-Sign

Follow the steps below to launch the In-Office E-Sign:

  1. Click In-Office E-Sign from the home screen.
  2. Enter the Client ID or Client Name to search for all delivered and archived returns.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Locate the return to be signed. 
  5. Click Get Started
  6. Click Yes to proceed.
  7. A new tab opens to the standard Client Experience
In-Office E-sign Dashboard
  1. Search for clients using the Client ID or Client Name. 
    • Users can search for partial information. 
  2. Use the columns to verify the Tax Year, Client Id, and Name
  3. The Group icon appears next to the name if the return is part of a group. 
  4. Verify the Return Status
    • Only returns with Awaiting E-Sign or Partially E-Signed statuses appear. 
  5. Click Get Started to launch the client experience. 
  6. Click the Refresh icon to refresh the page.
  7. Use the arrows to move to another page.
