The Client Portal section is used to manage and view information related to your taxpayers' Client Portal access status.
Please note:
Access to the Client Portal section is available to all users. Users can only view records assigned to Office Locations they have permissions to view.
- Click the Navigation Widget in the top right corner.
- Select SAFESEND ONE.
- Select Client Portal.
Navigation
- Click Portal Management in the left panel to view your client records.
- Search Bar- Search for clients by Client ID, Name, SSN/EIN, or email address.
- Customize Columns- Select/unselect the box next to each column name to add/remove it from the report.
- Export to Excel - Export the client information to Excel.
- Access - Toggle client access to the portal on or off.

Status - View the client's current registration status.
- Pending - The onboarding email has not yet been sent to the client.
- Invited - The onboarding email has been sent, but the client has not registered.
- Registered - Client has successfully registered for the portal.
- Spouse Indicator - A purple icon next to the client ID indicates the record is for a taxpayer and spouse.
Bulk Editing
One or more records can be edited at the same time using the Bulk Action Menu.
- Click the checkbox to the left of the taxpayer's Client ID to select one or more records OR
- Click the checkbox to the left of the Client ID column to select all displayed records.
- Select all records by using the Click Here option.
- Click the Bulk Action Menu to view the options available.
- Click Delete to delete all selected records.
- Click Send Onboarding Email to deliver a Client Portal Invitation email to all selected clients.

- Click Enable Portal Access to enable the Client Portal for all selected clients.
- Click Disable Portal Access to disable the Client Portal for all selected clients.
Action Menu
Records can also be edited individually.

Click Edit to edit client details.

- Click Delete to delete the client record.
- Click the Action (...) menu to see additional options.
- Click Client View to access a current view of the client's portal.
- Click Enable SMS OTP to enable or disable access code delivery to the client's mobile device.
- Click Send Onboarding Email to deliver a Client Portal Invitation email to the client.
- See the Client Instructions section below to customize the invitation email.
- Click Update Drop-Off Access to enable or disable drop-off link uploads from the client portal.

Add Client Manually
- Select Add Client.
- Enter Client Information.
- Apply Office Location.
- Select Married Filing Jointly to add spouse information (if applicable).
- Select Spouse to Sign First by Default if you would like for the spouse to be sent returns first.
- Enter Spouse Information (if applicable).
- Click Add Client.

Please note:
Editing a record in Client Portal Management does not affect the data associated with any delivered item. Only the Client Portal Management record is updated. If the email address is updated, any items delivered to the old address are no longer available through the Client Portal.
Edit Client Manually
- Select Edit.
- Edit any applicable Client Information.
- Select Update.
Please note:
Only System Admins have access to the Settings section.
Whichever message is marked as the Default is sent to all clients. These templates cannot be selected on a per client basis.
Users can customize the Onboarding Email clients receive when they are invited to register for the Client Portal. Default messaging is provided. Users may choose to use the default provided or they can add their own at any time.

- Click Settings in the left panel.
- Click Client Instructions.
- Click Edit to edit the selected message OR
- Click Add to create a new template.
