If a client is unable to locate their access code, firm users can generate a new access code and provide it to them via email or phone. This allows the firm to provide direct help if the taxpayer is having difficulty accessing their documents.
Important
When the client clicks Send Code, a new code is generated. The client must click this button to get started.
Do not open the View Access Code window until the client clicks the Send Code button to make sure you are providing the most recent code.
Return
- Navigate to Delivered or Archive Returns.
- Locate the return and select the More (...) icon.
- Click View Access Code.
- Click the Direct Document tab.
- View the most current access code OR
- Click Generate Access Code to generate a new code for the taxpayer.
