Taxpayer Unable to Sign Entity Return

The signer may report they are unable to click the Continue button to finish signing their return, or that a Required box is pointing to a filled field. This indicates that a required field has not been completed. We recommend the taxpayer use the Start and Next arrows to be directed to each required field. 

The fillable title box can be confusing for some signers. If the title was already printed on the return before upload, it appears as though the field is already filled. In this case, the signer would need to type text into the box to complete the signing. This will stack the typed text on top of the already existing text.

Alternatively, a firm user can recall and reprocess the return and remove the title box. The following help center articles outline the recall process:

  1. Navigate to the E-file Tab during processing. 
  2. Locate the Name & Title box(es). 
  3. Click the black and white X button to delete the box. 
  4. Click Finish to re-deliver the return.
