User Group Definitions

Standard user groups are included in the SafesSend Suite by default. You can create custom user groups with specific permissions in the User Management section.

Staff

  • Can upload, process, and deliver returns if firm settings allow.
  • Settings > General > Deliver Options > Allow the Staff user group to deliver Tax Returns. 
  • Can access returns they have permission to view post-delivery.
  • Has access to Signatures and Exchange. 

System Admin

  • Can upload, process, and deliver returns.
  • Can access all returns post-delivery.
  • Has access to Account Management and Settings.
  • Has access to Signatures and Exchange. 

Exchange 

  • Can access SafeSend Exchange.
  • Can access documents they have permission to view. 

Partner 

  • Can upload, process, and deliver returns.
  • Can access returns they have permission to view post-delivery.
  • Will appear in the ERO/Signer drop-down when uploading returns.
  • Can upload ERO signature stamp and allow other users to use it. 
  • Has access to Signatures and Exchange. 

Signatures

  • Can access SafeSend Signatures.
  • Can be added as a sender when delivering documents in SafeSend Signatures.
  • Can access documents they have permission to view.

Suite - ERO Only

  • Cannot access the Suite.
  • Can be assigned as ERO for a return, extension, or organizer.
  • Can have a signature stamp associated with their profile.
  • Can be a contact person for a return, extension, or organizer. 
  • No other groups can be applied alongside this one.
