Firm users can add an additional recipient during the processing of the return. Clients can forward a copy of their return to any recipient they choose.
Forward a Copy of Your Return
Important
The recipient must enter an access code to view and download the documents.
The recipient cannot sign, pay, or distribute K-1s; they will only receive a PDF copy of the return.
Forward Documents Before Signing
- Navigate to the Review section of the return as outlined in the Client Experience article.
- Click Forward.
- Select which documents to send to the recipient.
- Enter an Email Address for the recipient.
- Enter a Country Code and Mobile Number for the recipient (optional).
- If a mobile number is entered, the access code will be sent to that number.
- If no mobile number is entered, the access code will be sent to the recipient's email address.
- Click Add New Contact to add additional recipients (optional).
- Click Send to deliver the return documents.
Forward Documents After Signing
- Access the return using the link emailed to you after signing was complete.
- Must complete authentication to gain access.
- Click View or Forward Tax Documents.
- Click Forward.
- Select which documents to send to the recipient.
- Enter an Email Address for the recipient.
- Enter a Country Code and Mobile Number for the recipient (optional).
- If a mobile number is entered, the access code will be sent to that number.
- If no mobile number is entered, the access code will be sent to the recipient's email address.
- Click Add New Contact to add additional recipients (optional).
- Click Send to deliver the return documents.
Add Additional CC Recipient
This feature will allow firm users to add a recipient before they deliver the return.
Please note:
This option is currently only available before the delivery of the return.
Add Additional Recipient
- Upload and process a return.
- Navigate to the Delivery section.
- Locate the Additional Recipient section.
- Click Add Recipient.
- Enter Email Address and Name of recipient.
- Select the capabilities you wish to provide to the recipient.
- Click Save.
Edit Recipient Capabilities
After the return is delivered, users at the firm will be able to edit recipient capabilities.
- Locate the delivered return.
- Click on Action Menu (...).
- Click Additional Recipient.
- Select the Capabilities drop-down to edit what permissions the recipient has.
- Click Update.
