Can I edit the SafeSend Returns email subject?

You have the ability to edit a large number of our notification email subjects, which will be shown below.  Some automatic notifications we provide are not editable, but the ones that are, in Client Instructions, will be displayed here.

Please follow the below steps and screenshots. 

  1. Open SafeSend Returns.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Click on Client Instructions.
  4. To the right of Initial Email click the Edit Instructions pencil.
  5. In the subject line add any variables or make any changes you would like. A common variable is <TAXPAYERNAME>.
  6. Click Update.



This example will now show the Taxpayer name for individual returns and company name for entity returns in the subject line of the email they receive.
